It depends on the size of your grant.
Changing from a conventional system to a combi can be an expensive task depending on many factors. Re-siting boiler, removal of cold and hot water tanks etc. Depending on the complexity it can cost £3,000+0 -
It’s a gas boiler we have a conventional boiler which we want to change so looking at combi boiler ,we had company do a survey we are entitled to grant just need to add the extra on0

Are you on water meter? If so, prepare for your water bills to double as you twiddle your thumbs wasting water whilst waiting for it to heat up. The savings you make on your gas bill are more than wiped out by the increase in the water bill.0

We aren’t on water meter yet have just moved into the property and the conventional boiler we have now can take 2 minutes before hot water starts running through anyway0

This is the alternatives fuels section (lpg, oil, wood etc). Try posting in the energy forum as that covers gas and electric.0
