Mine won't even give me the option for double sided printing for a single page document, but 2 copies.
ETA: I'd selected the wrong printer and it does now allow it in the dialogue, but still printed on 2 sheets of paper, but did suck each piece back in to print nothing on the back. Sorry, that didn't help, I thought I'd stumbled on something.0 -
I've just read your OP more carefully - are you trying to print the same thing on both sides of the paper? i.e. 2 copies, but 1 sheet of paper?

The only workaround I can see on my printer (I was wondering if I was missing a trick) would be to make the document a 2 page document and copy the content of page 1 into page 2 and print it as a single copy of a 2 page document - where pages 1 and 2 just happen to be the same - and one ends up on each side of the paper.0 -
If you want the same thing on both sides of the paper then either duplicate the contents of the document so it fills two sheets of A4, OR print off, say, 20 sheets or whatever, then turn them over and print another 20 sheets paying attention to the way you load them because otherwise the second copies will either be upside down to the first or printed on the same side.
You can't duplex a single sheet of A4 because the concept is based around multiple sheets (the defintion of "duplex" is 'having two principal elements or parts', hence two "pages").0 -
^As above.
OP, you're misunderstanding what duplex printing means, it allows you to print a multiple page document on both sides of the paper, not print a single page, twice on both sides. AFAIK, no printer can do this without manipulation of the original document.
What format is your log sheet document?1 -
HP website confirms that this printer does have automatic double-sided printing.
These days, double-sided capability doesn't add a slot on the back, but uses the output slot to partially eject the page and then draw it back in again. I agree with the explanations above, though.
@OP: what application are you using to print your form?0 -
As previously advised - to print on two pages (front & back) you need a two-paged document.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

It depends on the document type and the application you are using.
It might be easier to use a manual method - print a stack of your forms on one side, and then put the sheets back in the printer paper tray to print on the other side.0 -
....Or Print one side, turn paper, print second side, then print as many of that as you need with two sided printing...Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
