As others have said, this year will probably be a one off, but I'll try to remember:
Nationwide referral - £100
Lloyds switch - £125
HSBC switch - £175
First direct switch in - £100
First direct switch out (6 months late) - £100
Nationwide FlexPlus 5% interest (own and joint) - £250
Monese referrals (6 x £15) - £90
Revolut referrals (5 x £6) - £30
Revolut business sign up bonus - £50
Tide Business sign up bonus - £100
Tide Black Friday bonuses - £300
£1420 in 12 months :beer::beer::beer:
As I have acquired this "free money" it has all been transferred into a Marcus savings account earning another 1.45% interest
Not a fortune, but for the small amount of effort put in, I don't think its a bad return.

I had a lean year in comparison, but far better than I'd otherwise have done being as I've had all of the mainstream switching incentives in previous years...
FD - another £100 switching incentive, totally unexpected as I'd previously joined and left for a total of £200.
Lloyds - £125 for a new Club account (downgraded existing Club to Classic first).
Santander - £500 in Amazon vouchers (partner had same).
Best previous year was £2,350 (in 2015?), primarily due to £1,650 from Yorkshire Bank. Worst year, and several of them!...£00 -
I still do it.
I toy with the idea of shutting it all down and having 1 current account & 1 savings account but then every time i consider it i think ... well i am basically giving up £xyz per year because it's "too much effort" and then what else am i going to do in place of cycling money once per month? Probably sit on my backside watching YouTube. May as well make some money then.
Halifax is £6 per month so that's £72 per year right there.
TSB is whatever it is per year over 4 accounts with the max of £6k.
The regular savers are whatever they are. Not sure but they offer more than the highest easy access savings so once again it's money turned down if i don't go for it.
Is it major money? No not really but then i don't look at one offs. Halifax is only £6 to us for example. That's nothing. £6 big deal, who cares. But it's not, it's £72 ... and then £144 ... and then £216. That's just paid for a new hoover for me since mine went kaput at the weekend & i didn't even have to work for it, just cycle some money once per month.
So i'd love to give it up, but then why would turning down easy cash be a good idea? My life isn't that busy that i can't spend a few moments each month getting paid while people sit on their backside in front of the TV.0 -

Damn, I missed out on some Nationwide bonuses :rotfl:
And yes, you are right, it is Flex Direct, my mistake.
A couple I did miss off too.
Whilst not exactly direct money, I have been lucky enough to bag 2 x £100 promotional Amazon gift vouchers from Monese.
One for £80, and the other for £85
We easily spend well over £200 a year on Amazon, so a roughly 17% discount isn't to be sniffed at.0 -

As a shareholder, why on earth are Santander throwing away £500s?
These banks are crazy.0 -
I don't wash my 10 year old car much either, i do most of my own maintenance, i'm saving money as it cost's £7 for a car wash and i'm on a water meter, that's why i only shower once a month whether i need one or not.
wash the car in the nude when it rains get clean and save the water!0 -

Share £200 with a friend when they switch their main current account to us*
better than lots of small buts of interest but better to get both imho! That's why we love this site!0 -
I was with Lloyds for 19 years and decided to change to Barclays where my Wife has her main account. Was on the Lloyds Platinum account which is about to go to £21pm!
I took Greenflag out for the breakdown cover, £11pm for both of us and will just do travel insurance when we need it, per trip.
Changing accounts is not worth the aggro for me, I find it easier to use my Amex cashback card for virtually everything and then get around £150 per year in cashback.
Just opened a Starling account though and so far it seems ideal for me. I rarely have cash and the app is great, plus I can open a EURO account and move money into it when the rate is good whilst using a single card at home or abroad.
Barclays refused an overdraft until my Salary was going in for a good few months which annoyed me considering my credit history but Starling pre approved me for £5k overdraft! Took much less than this as its only a buffer.0
