My parents are on E7 with Bulb and consume approx 20000kWh pa (80% overnight). Last comparison search I did for them there was only about £50 saving against the cheapest which was Symbio. I think they pay roughly 8p nightly and 15p daily with 20p Standing Charge with Bulb

Gerry1, Sorry I have to admit I have no idea of actual annual consumption. I have been on a prepayment meter for years. Its only since the tarrif change that we noticed consumption seemed to go through the roof, but EDF have now admitted why that is, and its basically due to the fact I was on a much cheaper tarrif prior to having a smart meter fitted. That said its not the smart meters fault, but EDF's incompatibility in honouring my Blue + September 2020 tarrif by trying to say it wont work with smart pay as you go meters. But cant explain why. But has now agreed to quarterly refund me until September if they cant sort out an amicable tarrif.

    My post code is PL26

You are still hitting the same problem several others have already mentioned, if you look for competitive tariffs based on your current PAYG meter you will not see the cheapest DD options.

What happens if you use the Which? PCW and select Symbio as the supplier in 'Filter your results' ?

I entered a random PL26 postcode and 8000kWh: Symbio was £947.23, Neon Reef was £1004.51, Bulb was £1234.66 and EDF was £1271.01. No prizes for guessing which one you'll choose...

MWT, believe it or not I pretended to search for direct debt tarrifs, lots of results I get is either sorry we cant provide information based on my property search, or that we dont provide at all.

I wanted to try a company called Lumo, because my work college says he only pays £52 for Gas and Electric combined, which seems unbelievable but he showed me his account details last night. Its half what I am paying for electric.
But yet again Lumo cant supply my area or property, which I find strange as my work college only lives 10 miles away from my house.

Gerry1, it seems my actual property has limited suppliers which can supply me. My work college as I mentioned in the last post is with Lumo and is only 10 miles away from me, but Lumo cant supply me when I did a search, and I did a DD search.
Hes only paying £52 a month for gas and electric combined. It seems too good to be true but hes got a Lumo app and showed me details last night so I know its true. Basically I am paying double.

What are your colleague's annual usage figures? If he's got gas central heating, his bills are bound to be much lower than yours. Monthly DD amount is not accurate and should not be relied upon.
