I had one once in the 1990s, which did very well in the wrong position under some trees in my last garden, but one day it made the fatal error of puncturing my kneecap whilst I tended something else wearing shorts....
Long story truncated; I immediately laid about it with an implement of some kind and dug the remains out. Never wanted another.0 -

TBH, I had a plant almost identical to that and I thought it was a yucca. I have cordyline in the garden and it wasn't one of those.0
