Have you ever wondered what an 'uber contemporary' house looks like?  Wonder no more.

It's got a flag.  I like the flag.

What a brilliantly designed property this is. The garden fence nearly touching the front wall meaning there can only be high windows is a delight and the fantastic view of the underside of a concrete ramp from the subterranean bedrooms makes the £550k price seem like a bargain.

And where is the runoff from the adjoining fields going to end up when it rains heavily ?
Anyone for an indoor paddling pool ?

I guess they could only get planning permission for something that looked like it might be a stable block. Ironically you could probably get the RSPCA to act if you try to house horses underground.

The smaller bedroom with a view of the ramp would be particularly pleasant if you had to WFH.

I can’t get my head round who lives in that household. Some rooms are tidy, others not. There are motorbikes, bikes and fitness gear everywhere. Plus multiple pet beds, but no pets,

My favourite bit is the concrete Chinese warriors.

    Jesus wept.

I love light. But I don't get our obsession with skylights. These seem to be arranged in a geometric optical pattern designed to, on hot sunny days (only 3 weeks ago if you remember!), direct the sun into a 3rd degree burn inducing focus. You seriously couldn't sit in there.

Even if they had aircon in that room, you'd end up hot, cold and burnt.

    So thanks. I hate it.

It used to be a golf driving range and the new buildings seem to have roughly the same footprint as the old range and clubhouse.
