Is it just me, or do these photos look overexposed?

I've noticed quite a few listings with the same issue.

Do you think someone once said "didn't like that house, it was a bit dingy", and this is the result?  Photographs that make you need sunglasses?

You can get a better sense of the overall shape from the aerial view on Google but feels also from the EA shots that the back gardens , while secure, feel quite claustrophobic, - plus will get a lot of shadow at times.

fascinating! As you say shadow on the garden but I do like accommodation itself

Definitely unique, but tiny back gardens only accessible through the house and parking / garaging away from the house are two big no's for me.

I'd love to see this after some work has been done. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/135381590#/?channel=RES_BUY
Not sure they've chosen that picture as the first one.
The last time a house, from that section of street sold, was 2012. They are both detached and of a similar age and style.

Doesn't need much doing to it. To slap a few tins of grey paint on the walls would be a travesty.

I do take exception to the EA's claim of "**A UNIQUE FAMILY HOME SET ON THIS PRESTIGIOUS STREET**" - It is Ashington. Nothing prestigious about any street in the area...

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Not sure I'd fancy the area, either...

It's actually a lovely area, or at least it used to be. It's the neighbouring estate that is not so nice. There's a big country park nearby, good transport links, and great views. Lots of families moved there in the late 70s and 80s, kids grew up and left but many parents didn't move, leaving lots of older residents for a time. I knew this road well and went to school with a boy that either lived at this house or at a house plus or minus one or two either side.
