I supect they were there and could not be justifiably changes.  Shame because the table and chairs are gorgeous.  The living room is nice in principle but not inviting to me as there is an air of obsessive regimentation to the style.  The owners must chew their arms off every time they look at the kitchen cabinets

White wall cupboards
Cherry red (similar colour to dishwasher) under counter cupboards
Black worktops

That will look sharp.

I recall seeing pictures of Nigel Farage wearing a hat and coat combo not dissimilar to the ones just to the left of said statue, and we know he likes a drink.

Can't see if the ceilings do. But really though, I think that is the case with almost every home - I'd always want to rip out carpets and put wooden or laminate down if that's not there already, and I'd almost always end up wanting to paint the walls anyway - so why not buy something where the need to modernise is reflected in the price. I'd much rather have clearly outdated wallpaper and carpet than something that is fairly new and doesn't push the price of the property down. Having said that, I ended up buying the latter and I am replacing things anyway.
