A Granny annex perhaps. Possibly no internal join to preserve independence, although given the terrible layout providing an excuse may be overly charitable...FreeBear said:
Certainly extended. Wonder if it gets clobbered twice for council tax as each half is a self contained unit with separate entrances.NaughtiusMaximus said:
I think Slinky's comment is far more likely, the original property had an L shaped extension added at a later date rather than it being built that way and later divided up.frogglet said:Looks like its been divided into 2 with no connecting doors to either side.

The estate agent really went to town with the description for this one. I particularly liked “Fabulous roof top views like Mary Poppins seeing far into the countryside.”4 -
For over a million pounds they could have finished the kitchen island properly.Oxon said:1 -

I do agree with the above though, the kitchen island does look incomplete...1 -
I don't know why, but there is something completely odd about this place. Does not seem like a homeOxon said:https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-88003174.html

Why? What's missing? Isn't the space/gap just storage for the stool?anteguardian said:

I agree. The almost empty reception room, the strange mix of furniture in the lounge that doesn’t match the rest of the house, the sofa in front of the bath.... with so many rooms (two with full size dining tables) why would you need a smaller dining table on the landing?lincroft1710 said:
