I've had a good look on Street View and I can't find it, but wherever it is it must be pretty much squashed in.FreeBear said:Lovely little cottage, spoilt by the location...0 -

Can't help but think that if I have to ask, it's probably aimed at people like me.

I'm assuming FreeBear is referring to the fact it's right on the main road. Go to the junction of Mile Cross Lane and Curtis Road and you should be able to see it. Not the most picturesque setting...GaleSF63 said:

I'm playing catch up and checking out the links as I go. Apparently this house sold for £150k at the end of June, a massive decrease from the pre repo asking price!cazmanian_minx said:Apologies if I've put this one on before - I went to view this in January last year when it first failed to sell at auction with a guide of £290k. It's a repossession and had all the period features (apart from the porch floor) stripped out by the previous owner. I disagree strongly with the agent's description of "Although the property requires decorated throughout, the majority of this would be cosmetic" - when I saw it there was water coming up through the floor in two of the rooms and someone's put PVC windows into a listed building. Over the past year I've seen plenty of middle-class couples coming back down the drive with very disappointed faces, thinking they've found the bargain of the century as the price has dropped and then actually had a look at it. But it was a beautiful house once and it could be again and the price is now getting to the point where someone could actually make a profit on it, just. For comparison, this is what it looked like before the repossession: https://www.zoopla.co.uk/property-history/castlehill-house/princes-street/thurso/kw14-7dh/42775753

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.2
