3 bedroom semi-detached house for sale in Balmoral Drive, Leigh, Greater Manchester, WN7

If Liberace had lived in Leigh! Visions of grandeur till you check out Street view

So many places we could begin-

How does anyone come in through the front door?
Why did they not sack the tiler after the first room?
    Spot the tiger?
Who moved the heart from the bedroom to bedroom for the photos?
How do they ever get into bed at night?
Who decided to have matching kitchen and bathroom curtains?
Is it the new thing to sit and have cocktails in your hallway?
    Is this overkill?

"We just wanted to forget we are living in an ex-council house"

Look at the StreetView, wouldn't want one of my windows right next to a public green space!
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
  • Christ on a bike. The curtains are the same in the bedrooms as well.

looking in the kitchen I just want to break out into dance like John Travolta due to the presence of that disco ball.

There's always something pretentiously out of proportion when I see those mock classical columns on a modest terrace front porch.

certainly unique… not sure about sophistication? I am not sure what has been going on.  Perhaps an HMO but also seems to have kids living there.

At first I didn't think that place was worthy of this thread - yes it's run down and the bath is in desperate need of some silicone - but is it really "have a look at this" worthy?

Then I spotted - there's what looks like a sewer stack vent in the en suite!!! Yes - it's likely an air admittance valve so technically probably allowed. But not very pleasant in an en suite.

Way overpriced for the money that would need to be spent on it.  That bathroom needs more than just new silicone!  Expect that the kitchen and all the bathrooms would have to be completely gutted, for a start.

Nice space saving dual storage/shower unit plus a place to park your car in the bedroom.
The bath looks like it's trying to leave.

    Apologies if already posted

£475K for a property without a roof (originally asked £600k). After demolishing and rebuilding costs this would be way more than just buying a new property in the area

Our old neck of the woods. Mortimer is a nice village in the heart of commuter land with good road and rail links but even so, it does seem a bit steep doesn't it?
