Fab. Too much character for sensible living, but a fantastic place. Wouldn't want to own it, but glad it exists.
Oh that's wonderful!

One of the reason this group is so good is the variety of opinions. For me this is am absolute nightmare of bad taste.Skiddaw1 said:Ditzy_Mitzy said:https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/150610874#/?channel=RES_BUY

for those not aware of it, in the "old" days tuberculosis had no cure, so "treatment" comprised being in "fresh air".
Consequently many TB sanitoria were built with one side of every room able to open to the air.
Harefield Hospital's curved (layer cake) wing being a noted example

And this made me instantly think of that, although I doubt the owners would appreciate the comparison

The room with the lights in the ceiling is I would guess intended to create the effect of a starry sky. Unfortunately for me it reminds me of the Amna Suraka Museum in Slemani. Where each of the lights is to represent a Kurdish village wiped out by Saddam Hussein.
This has been described as the most depressing museum in the world. But, for me, it's not even the most depressing museum in Kurdistan as the Halabja Monument (museum is inside) is even more upsetting.
So: back on topic, the room with the lights would probably work for 99% of people, but not for me.

Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Yes they are. I never noticed them the 1st time I looked. I was expecting something a bit more extreme to be honest.RHemmings said:Abbafan1972 said:
