Just back from Wilko (where my partner spent out on a few bits, including seed potatoes and dill seeds). We have a whole batch of seed packets from a gardening magazine subscription offer. Meanwhile, I have been using all the points I make on Swagbucks and receipt snapping apps to use on Amazon for gardening extras. We have a mini grow house currently sitting in our lounge!! Waiting to go on our roof terrace, with lots of seedlings in.... Incredibly satisfying and definitely a talking point to have a 'greenhouse' in the lounge.
I'm thinking cathybird could give us some advice.... with all that allotment knowledge.
It's scary that it is nearly spring and I am going to have to get cracking at the allotment soon but it's freezing outside and feels way too early! Actually the allotment is mostly fruit trees and fruit bushes, so they just do their own thing producing lots of nice fruit every year. I do have globe artichokes though, and some herbs. I will need to do some weeding before spring gets into full swing, I think.
I need to do some planting as well though. Potatoes are always great, I love growing potatoes
Optimistic Saver, you and jammy dodger should give us regular reports on how your veg growing is going ... it can be a great money-saving thing to do
