Fake Golf clubs from Wish.com

Hi

I have bought several clubs online from wish.com (Taylormade M6 irons) which I have discovered to be fake. I informed Klarna - which appears to be the arm to take the money and they have put one payment on hold but have still withdrawn the money for the other clubs. That was a week ago and I have had no communcation from them. What are my options now?

thanks,Shumit

  • If you paid on a card or paypal, you could get them involved with getting your money back.

Otherwise, just learn that it's a massive gamble buying anything from wish.com, most of the stuff they list is likely to be fake or non-existent.
(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)

Where are they based? Are they a UK retailer?

I'd never heard of them, hence the question, but now I've looked......:rotfl:

Clearly a reputable golf equipment stockist...
  • You bought some clubs claiming to be a known brand from a well-known Chinese retailer that floods the market with fakes, and you're surprised?

Wish is a Chinese site that's just rammed with fake / knock off / unbranded tat. I thought this was common knowledge!

Also, a small clue is paying around £100 for something that retails for £400 elsewhere, didn't that give you a clue?
  • Does this mean my Rolex collection and Gucci shoes from Wish are fake too??

Some big brand golf clubs are genuine clubs and sold for a lot less money .. for example the Callaway Edge 10 piece set from Costco for <£500. These were reviewed by a golf pro (see Youtube) and his summary was that the clubs were genuine Callaway and were as good as a set you'd pay £1,500 for.

That doesn't mean the stuff on Wish is genuine, just that price isn't always a blanket guide that the goods are fake. :)

Saw a pro review on YouTube a “Taylormade” M6 Driver bought from wish.com knowing it would be a fake. It preformed horribly and the head detached itself from the shaft after about 20 hits

    Here it is:

Its always a risk when using wish.com. Let me guess the price was the attraction.
