    *UPDATE*

    We are NOT getting evicted.

I called into the letting agents just this morning as I wanted to try and get as much advice as I could before going in there saying wrong things and making things worse, and turns out it was crossover as the guy that owns the letting agents hadn't seen the money go in by the time he went to the bank(remember me saying he is a bit of a b*gger and intimidating?) so he must have got flustered as per usual and fired off a letter before bothering to check anything again...

I promised them there will be no more late payments - to which they replied with acknowledgment and thanked me for catching up what was due and getting myself to a nil balance. I asked them to apologise to my landlord for all of this mess and that I am now working 100% to rectify it and turn things around ie. no more late payments etc.

I have also reiterated my promise of a payment on 8th Feb in time for when my rent is due on the 11th(which I will have the money for by then to pay it) and further rent payments will be paid in full without fail by the end of each month ready for when the rent is due on the 11th of each month.

As for the replies saying I should do an SOA/sort out my finances/cut back etc - we are already at a bare minimum for everything and we go without luxuries(we don't buy ourselves - we only have if gifted to us). If I could tell you the true extent of how we live right now we'd be here the rest of the day...

I am glad you are not being evicted but please don't start firing shots at other people here. You haven't been paying your rent, many landlords would have evicted and and refused a reference by now. For all you know this person has been mucking things up to prevent that. Keep up with your payments and you won't need to interact again
An answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......

This whole thread has a whiff of entitlement to it. Once upon a time, those who worked for a living knew they were entitled to what they had earned; those of the other classes were born into entitlement: They tended to have actual titles.

These days, the taxpayers are supporting both types...
