Credit card compromised

in Credit cards
I have just noticed a few transactions on my CC statement that I didn't recognise, First was for £140 going out to B365 (which I didn't have a clue what that was), second was for a 'cash transaction fee', and third one was for £100 coming back into my account from B365! I rand the Fraud dept at Tesco Credit Card and they were surprised that anyone using card fraudulently would be daft enough to have same linked account for any winnings! I know nothing about B365, only that I now know it's a gambling site, or what information you need to submit to open an account, such as email address or telephone number? Fraud dept said they had also used my address but don't have anymore information at this point and will investigate. I was wondering if anyone else come across anything similar, and why someone doing this would have winnings going back into the same account?

It doesn't really matter why. As long as the transactions are reversed, that's all you need.0

True, but intriguing all the same!0

Quite often in circumstances like this - the problem will be close to home?0

This at least is easily answered: because the bookmakers insist on it. Anti money laundering laws mean winnings have to be withdrawn to the same source the funds were deposited from. Whoever stole your credit card details has found that out the hard way!
Unless using one of a few payment methods that winnings can't be returned to!0 -
Common fraud gambling. I have only ever seen a couple of cases where winnings outmatched spend.
Can be a family member in some cases, but when Tesco claim the money back B365 will provide them acc details. So if anything matches. It is possible you may be contacted.
Can be that the people doing it are more interested in gambling than actually winning.Life in the slow lane0 -

I can't change that my credit card has been compromised, but I AM intrigued to know why someone would commit a crime but have no access to any winnings, unless as a previous post suggested gambling is more important than the winnings.0
