I know you are not really wanting this, but another lodger could provide income certainty, and the way the rental market is at the moment you could probably charge more and still be cheaper than the regular rentals - I'm sure you could find someone a bit more helpful as well. although the temptation to be on your own for a bit must be overwhelming
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

I think eventually I will have to but I will need to do some decorating and replace the carpet in the room. I did think about doing a mon to fri let as i know it's common in my area. Alternatively I did think I might look into being a respite Foster carer which would be extra money but i would need to see what needs to be done to bring my property up to scratch. It's an ex rental property so hoping a lot of it is already done. A lot to consider over the next few months especially ready for all price increases next year. Both my mortgage fix and gas and electric fix come to an end next summer.

Expensive weekend for me. filled my car up with petrol, done big food shop, also had to get some more cough medicine and night nurse to help me sleep. This post covid cough and general exhaustion is getting very frustrating now. I just want to go back to normal and not get tired doing slightest things. Hopefully get some NSD's this week, need to get more focused on them in August and hoping to start with a good few days at the start of the month as really should be able to go without a spend until the weekend, maybe Friday evening. But who knows as I'm sure something else will crop up but hoping I can put it off for a few days either way.  Not much on this week, work, chiropractor weds evening, thats already paid for, then Friday going to family members choirs concert, then saturday football starts again for me. First home game of season, that will be a spend day as usually meet my cousins beforehand for lunch at spoons before walking into the ground.

Right time to go watch the Lionesses, come on england!

Very happy about the football score on Sunday. Well done to the lionesses.

On day 2 of NSD so far and have to say it's been quite nice if not a bit strange. I'm getting a little list together for shopping but hoping it can be put off until end of week. Will have to wait and see.

Most of my DDs came out yesterday, rent went in today and been moved straight to my saver to help build up the emergency/sinking Fund. Made my monthly payment to CC which will have it cleared by end of 0% period and still have some money left in my account spare that hasn't been allocated anywhere yet. Its in my bills account at the moment and may need to go on some new clothes for a job interview I have on Tuesday that is in person 😱 going to have a look in my wardrobe and try on a dress that might be ok but not sure if it still fits. Will try charity shops first if not. Very nervous about it as includes role playing scenario as well. Will do some reading up and go back over my application before the interview.

Right off to update my signature.

Good luck with the interview and well done the lionesses - best game of football I have watched in years (not a big fan).

All the money seems to be going well!!

I really enjoyed the Euros tournament throughout and the final and the result were great.

My team still seem to be talking about lots of transfers in but not actually concluding many.

  • Sarah you seem to be getting back on the wagon financial wise, I must say I haven’t watched most of the woman’s euros but the final was absolutely epic and fantastic and I truly hope it bring more attention to the game. Fingers crossed for the World Cup with men’s later this year. I wouldn’t not to predict the result on that one

My team are doing quite well on signing front but still missing 2 or 3 I would think. Still time left I suppose but very frustrating as they will take a few games to gel.

Thanks i feel like I'm definitely motivated again with my finances. I'm so happy that football is back. My team have sold out the female teams season tickets they were offering for games so that's good news. Although gutted I missed out on it. Will have to just do pay as you go when I'm able to go. First mens game on saturday and can't wait.

Happy hump day. The weekend is now in sight. Walked to shop and brought myself some chocolate within my calories and bottle of Coke zero. I used the change in my purse leftover from last month so I'm going to still count it as a NSD. Its quite nice logging into my banking and seeing I haven't spent anything from my spending account 🎉
