Recommended iPad/tablet for travelling
Options
Hello,
Until now, I've been lugging my laptop around with me while I travel and have been thinking about switching to an iPad or tablet. It will mainly be used for storing, streaming and watching movies (would need an HDMI input), emails and possibly photo storage while on the road. I imagine I'll only need a wifi version, but would like a headphone jack.
My husband's old laptop is slowly giving up the ghost, so this may eventually become his primary device, so I would like something that has an integrated keyboard or ability to attach a keyboard.
Apologies for the basic questions, but I've never owned a tablet or had much to do with them. I did use a friend's one recently that seemed to have a hard cover that flipped oven and could be used as a stand - I presume this comes separately?
I don't need top of the range - just good value for money that will have the technology to last a few years at least. The Apple iPad 10.2-Inch seems to come up well in a lot of online reviews - would this suit my needs? I'm a bit of a slave to Apple products and I am much more comfortable with their interface but more than happy to hear other recommendations.
Thanks in advance!

What your refering to there is the case/cover that was on the iPad, plenty to choose from on Amazon, eBay etc.
If your happy with Apple products then stick with Apple. I cant really advise you on them but other posters on here can do.0 -
If size is an issue then the ipad mini could be worth considering.
I travel with a Samsung galaxy tablet with an 8 inch screen which is light and is easily tucked into a rucksack or bag.0
