  • People like Watchdog, Ombudsman etc. There are some great posts on Trustpilot for them, all verified purchases. Wonderful reviews. Read up on Trustpilot. Rightio wouldn't send me a review form, barred me from Facebook. I am sending them our own report, but much good it will do me.
Several tradesmen we spoke to will not have their name associated with them.
spink_bottle is not alone in this.

How many times do the same old companies appear on it....
Trustpilot is just as bad. Companies that are known to provide great customer service via awards, only get 1 star.

Isn't it time a company like 'Rightio' was given a special slot on a consumer programme to highlight the long list of injustices perpetrated by their unscrupulous trading practices?
I made the mistake of hiring one of their plumbers last year and was shocked at his behaviour and the subsequent obstacle course laid out before me by their 'Customer Service' team.
Of course, i should've read a wider selection of reviews before calling them out.
I got off ligghtly: Some people have been overcharged by thousands of pounds.
You want to see what an unregulated economy in the Tories 'New Rulse Britannia' looks like? Hire one of their plumbers and you'll see.

I'm the 3rd person on this thread that has never heard of this company.
Maybe you should contact one of these consumer programmes to ask them to investigate.
I have written to 'Watchdog' @ the BBC and hold little hope of getting a reply but the sheer volume of complaints online should attract some attention from a consumer rights organisation/programme.

  • Rightio are basically a call centre who arrange for a tradesman to come out.
Our story is basically they left us for 17 days, over Christmas and New Year, with no heating or hot water, because THEIR heating engineer broke a valve in our boiler when putting in a new heat exchanger. We had already paid 100.00 to them, they took 282.00, to complete full payment, from our account without notice.
They would have charged, at least, a further 350.00 pounds to come back and fix it. We got someone else for 120. 00. They want a report to prove their plumber broke the valve! This is a brief description of our dealings. They also bar unfavourable comments from Facebook. I am amazed this company has not been brought to attention.

I fully sypathise with your experience....they also tried to get my review deleted from 'Yell' until i proved my case and refused to alter a word of it.
