Hi all, come across a company called parking fines ltd, they will deal with the whole claim including letters etc and have a very rate of getting these thrown out on a technicality. Any one else used them?

No, we don't recommend ANY paid-for service. We do this free. You do realise the Defendant would still have to go to court anyway?
my wife is pestering me to pay as she is scared of it going to court.
Is your wife the Defendant? I am female and enjoy court hearings, they are interesting and exhilarating and the preparation is good for stretching your mind and the whole thing is a good life experience, going out of your comfort zone, by telling a Judge why the D should not be held liable.

Very good to tell family & friends about afterwards.

No-one PAYS! That would be funding the scam and a terrible family example.

Hi. My wife is and she is terrified. She even rang up UK CPM to pay. I convinced her to put the phone down and have a read on here. She is worried that it may cost her more than the £100 fine. But after reading through the newbie thread it seems we are going to hold out for the court letter which I understand is after the Gladstone’s letter which may take a few months

There is nothing to be terrified about!

Search ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST and read the recent wins in 5 minutes flat, the latest ones this week include where the PPC failed to turn up and the person claimed £200 in costs, and one where the lady only had to confirm her name, then at the end, how much she earned, to claim her £95.

It can take a few years. They will tell you it's constantly going up. It's in order to ramp the pressure up. Personally I don't understand why someone who doesn't want to pay £60 is happy to pay £160. It doesn't make sense.

If and when it goes to court all those unlawfully added extra amounts suddenly disappear.

Thanks waamo. i have started to ignore the letters and waiting from the letters from Gladstones to appear on my doorstep. Wil then take it from there. Network homes who are the owners of the land are just as helpful as the IAS was

One tactic that has occasionally met with success is to write to the landowner. Tell them that court proceedings are commencing. Tell them that a representative from their organisation will be required to attend court to give evidence as the landowner and organisation that employed the ppc. You require the name of the person who will attend.

The idea of having to appear in court often scares them into doing something. They don't want to go anymore than you do. They often say nobody will go so you tell them their refusal to appear will be pointed out to the judge and they can deal with any consequences arising from refusing to attend court.

It sounds scary but in reality it's all bluff and bluster. There aren't any consequences for them refusing to attend but you don't need to tell them that.

It's an approach that is usually best left until a genuine letter before claim appears though.

Gladstones are probably the most incompetent legal in the UK, come back here if they start their rubbish
