I've just logged on here recently for the first time in aaages, after getting the email re the forum change. I was looking back through all my old threads - (in case they disappear in the move...who knows?!) thinking how lucky I was that strangers were so kind, patient, and considerate that they helped me so much, and how truly grateful I am.

Seriously, it genuinely does means a lot to me that so many of you did. I have pretty terrible brainfog, and no one to ask things like that - so it makes a big difference.

Great to see several names I recognise posting above as well.

I wonder if closed is still around. Always made great efforts to help people clean up their devices.

Yes there are some names missing; but modesty prevents. Sometimes passwords are forgotten and usernames discarded.
For example, with the new board needing you to remember the original email address connected the account. So old usernames are discarded whilst the poster is still around using a new username.

I've actually been here since at least 2004. I just don't remember my original sign in details as I travel a lot and use different devices.
Seems my original username was Donnie and I was banned ten years ago

Likewise. I joined in 2004 and used to post quite a lot on Techy Stuff. I originally signed up using a throwaway email address but when the new board came in my original email domain name no longer existed.
