Creating new account troubles on Firefox and Chrome

I don't know if this is normal but it took me a while to register to the forum. I would try to register using Chrome and Firefox and the two key things that prevented me from joining:
-Site not displaying the error "That username is already in use or does not meet the administrator's standards"
-Ticking the reCAPTCHA "I'm not a robot" box would not show you the test until you've waited about a minute for it to load (only by chance I discovered this).

I was able to use the Edge browser to register without issues
