I purchased currency on my TSB debit card at the end of August for a trip to Florence. (I have since moved to HSBC after Martins thread about the £175 switch)
I have had a letter today from said travel agents to say the money was in fact not taken from
My account and they need to reprocess this!
Am I legally bound to do this or is there a time limit they have to flag this up? Five months this has been

Presumably you know that the money never left your TSB account then and you were given a ‘free’ loan of the funds to buy Euros, which you have since spent?

Legal or not, what do your scruples say?

It is was the other way around and they had taken the money twice and you noticed after 5 months and contacted them....what would you expect their response to be?

They have six years to pursue court action, but there is no limit at all on the time limit.

What did you do with the money when you saw that it hadn’t gone out, and why would you not pay?
