    Can anybody answer this question

As the UK are saying China did it wrong by going into lockdown?

what would China be like now if they did the same as the UK and didn’t go into lockdown?
If you believe Dr. John Campbell - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Etlyvt9n_QE&t=0s (relevant part re China - 4 mins in)  then:
China did a political cover up and reacted late as a result. Based on China's form, there are still probably cover-ups ongoing. Point is, had China not done a total totalitarian style lock-down, things could have been many times worse.
Each country has it's own style that's why there are different nations in the first place.
At this very moment in time Boris may be seen in the rear view mirror as having been hopelessly complacent. Many political leaders around the world may lose their jobs if they don't get this right.

One thing we all need to remember that once a critical mass of people are affected, it will soon affect nearly everyone! No one can escape. You may keep yourself confined in a basement for 2 weeks but as soon as you come out, you are vulnerable.
Only real defense is your body immunity - until vaccine is discovered (which won't happen soon anyway).
Fit and healthy people simply need to catch the disease and help improve our herd immunity.  What we need to try and do is let this happen in a controlled manner and when people do inevitably catch it stay away from the vulnerable in their family.
It’s a very dangerous assumption to think that you can get immunity when there is no evidence at all for this

there is evidence that this novel virus is like AIDS and that AIDS drugs can help a little bit there is no building immunity to these type of virus

SO INSAY AGAIN ITS A VERY DANGEROUS ASSUMPTION AND WHAT IS IT BASED ON?

that's not what the doctor dude said that spoke alongside Boris the other day......

he said we need to get herd immunity, so we need a good chunk of the population to be infected.
Maybe that should be flock immunity.

Why is the UK different from China and Italy?
    'It couldn't happen here' syndrome.

Having just seen some Facebook comments from Benidorm that the Spanish police are having to clear Brits off the closed beach. (Waiting to find if this is fake news)
This has prompted the thought that the reason Johnson will not close things down is because Brits have been educated to NOT respect laws, regulations experts and emergency closures.
I think there’s a serious issue with starting measures too early.
for example asking everyone with a sniffle to self isolate.
people might do this once but will they do it a second or third time? Especially if they don’t trust that it will have an effect.
i have every sympathy with people worried about having enough money to feed their children and then there are truly selfish people.
but yes I think some employees and employers won’t just obey

Johnson/trump are now leaving us all confused and vulnerable to every internet whisper.
But you don't live in the USA or the UK?

Why hasn't Luxembourg closed it's borders.
Perhaps when the Two loudest western country talk we have no choice but listen.
Perhaps the Luxembourg Government are following Johnson and his “expert” advisers!
As my transatlantic dinner guest said to me last night Trump's one and only approach is America first.
Why hasn't the EC coordinated an approach?  With one key spokesperson.
Your guest must have been a bit wet.

This as reported in Luxembourg on RTL.LU
    QUOTE

    Global infections outstrip China total

Worldwide infections have grown to more than 87,000.

According to the Johns Hopkins university tracker, cases inside China, stood at 80,860 on Monday 16 March, according to the Chinese National Health Commission.

Meanwhile, deaths outside China have risen to more than 3,241, according to updated Johns Hopkins data (view the tracker here).

Deaths inside China stood at 3,208 as of Monday (excluding four in Hong Kong and one in Taiwan).

    END QUOTE

There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

The number of reported cases is hiding the elephant which is how many are infected but not detected. These undetected infected people are carrying on infecting other people around them.
Some of the infected will suffer only mild symptoms. However, a lot WILL suffer seriously including death.
You never know how your body will react until you catch the virus but then it could be too late for you.
All these deaths citing "underlying health condition" is not stating exactly what those conditions those unfortunate patients had.
The thinking process "it can't happen to me" is complete lunacy.
It would be rather useful to implement a policy like that.
    1. If you are over 70, then self isolate yourself - you are responsible for your own health.
    2. If you are below 60 and in GOOD health, carry on normal. Contact NHS if you are unwell.
    3. Between 60-70, use your discretion what to do
    4. If you have difficult health condition (whatever applicable) at any age, self isolate yourself.
This would have avoided the panic.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.
  • China population used to be 1.4 Billion it has been reduced by some estimates to less than a billion people

this is in the first quarter this year!!!!!!!

400,000,000 (400 million) people gone? Dream on.

You endorse the almost unique Boris (flat earth) Johnson’s approach to social distancing.
It might be that the NHS is almost unique in its lack of beds and the Cummings/Johnson unique approach takes account of this.
everyone keep safe and if you can ignore 2 above.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

An editorial published this morning in Luxembourg. Worth a read to help understand how everyone looks at the Corona Virus crisis in a different way.

You will see that there is some reference to the huge issue in Luxembourg of house prices.
if you wish to slag of Luxembourg that is your right. If you have any serious questions I would TRY to answer.
