Gold and silver usually goes up when something bad happens and property is usually inverse correlated to the monetary precious metals.

What will happen to property markets if this coronavirus does keep spreading as it is doing currently?

    Probably not a great deal.

I remember aids back around the late 80s when I was at uni.
There was a time we all thought within 2 years we’d all know some one who’d died of it.
Didn’t happen. Then we had bird flu, swine flu, sars, Ebola, zikka and whilst some of these have been tragic locally, they haven’t been a global event, so I think those of us who’ve been through x versions of this will remain unworried.

Does anyone know what the impact on uk house prices will be from Rebecca picking Luke on love island.

I’m thinking at least 20% off by Christmas

When did facts get in the way of panic?
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

Should I barricade myself in at the pub with a cricket bat today or tomorrow? ;)

In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

I knew at least three people very well, who died of Aids. It was very scary at the time for male homosexuals.

It might slow areas in and around London where there are and have been lots of Chinese buyers.

Chinese are definitely going to be slowing down buying may ever start selling on mass
The thing about chaos is, it's fair.

But the expectation was that we would all know people and that part didn't happen.

I agree for the individuals and localities concerned these events are tragic.

There's probably more people knifed in London this year than have so far died of the virus..... and that's not affecting London prices.

    Not so.
69 knife deaths in the whole of 2019 (I note you said this year but those figures won’t be available in Jan).
    106 from Coronavirus so far

Maybe not much different from flu or pneumonia though which kills thousands of elderly and/or sick.
