Hi TF - I'm sorry I haven't been around much, over the last day - bl**ding work! If the bailiff was intimidating and threatening, you can make a formal complaint - I will try and dig up a link for you - as they should respect the terms of their charter.
They should NOT have been discussing your debt with a third party.
I will ask Herbie21 to have a look at your thread - her company deals with bailiffs and the way they 'ply their trade'.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

DFW Nerd # 166 PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS0 -
I dont know how I missed this thread.
Could you let me know by PM only the name of the bailiff that attended and also the name of the previous bailif (if there was one) who agreed the walking possession.
Do you have a list of their fees as well.
I can then advise further.
It is for this very reason that I now advise that a walking possession agreement should be avoided at all costs.
The intention of them was to allow you a breathing space to pay the debt and at the same time allow the bailiff some security in the event that you failed to pay.
However bailiff companies are using a signed WP as not more than a means to extract the "attending to remove" or van fees when a payment is just one day late.
Look forward to receiving your message.
If you let me have your e-mail address I can send over a template for a Subject Access Request.0 -

Have you contacted Ross and Roberts to make a complaint?
It seems they have a complaints procedure!
The thing is I have just managed (literally “Just in time” ) to have my Council Tax debt taken from Ross and Roberts after setting up an arrangement with SSDC, My local council.
As soon as I had done this I phoned a friend who told me that they had dealings with a bailiff from Ross and Roberts who was very pleasant, (for a bailiff).
Anyway, to cut a long story short (and believe me it was long, was on the phone for 47 minutes!) another bailiff made a visit to her house and was “really nasty”.
So she phoned R&R who were actually apologetic, and took details of the complaint.
Now I'm not saying R&R are angels, they're still a bailiff company after all, and I have no idea whether the complaint was filed under B for bin, but it may be an idea to let hem know how you've been treated. :silenced:0
