Lloyd’s current account rejected. Cifas mentioned

They don't mean anything by it - it's just a standard letter.
How do you know this ? Has something similar happened to you before ?

The letter on the previous thread where they mentioned Cifas is exactly the same one they sent to me. It doesn’t seem like a ‘standard’ in the previous thread he mentioned they send this letter when they load the info onto Cifas. Very worrying. I only applied for a current account. It’s turning out to be my worst nightmare.0

Unless there is untoward and incorrect information about you on CIFAS, there's no need to worry. People do get turned down for accounts now and again, and in your case it may well be because of your job in Financial Services. Or it may have just been an error. Why do you want an account with Lloyds, anyway? There are plenty of alternatives. As long as you get current accounts elsewhere, there is no issue. Just a minor annoyance.
If there is incorrect information on CIFAS, that can be corrected, and I am sure you can ask the offending company to compensate you for the inconvenience and distress.
Let's see what your CIFAS SAR reveals.0 -

Got to say, I've never heard of anyone being turned down for a bank account because they work in financial services. Banks are simply not that precious about people who work for their competitors banking with them.
Source: worked for a bank while having accounts at various times with not only that bank but every other !!!!!! going, and also being aware of customers who worked for other institutions.urs sinserly,

You can be rejected for an account even if as you say your squeaky clean.
Wait for the response from CIFAS to arrive and take it from there.
Don't lose sleep over something you cant control.
Consider another opening another account elsewhere.0 -
I had a similar thing happen with Barclays last year - account opened only to be closed a few days later following their final checks. The latter you've received is a generic one, but it'd be worth waiting to see what comes back from Lloyds/CIFAS. I'd also recommend submitting a SAR to National Hunter, as in my case there was an inconsistency flagged there that might've been the cause of my rejection.0

Which bank flagged the inconsistency and what was the reason given?0 -
***UPDATE***
So I received the SAR back from Cifas. EE/T-Mobile placed a first party fraud marker against me for evasion of payment. How on earth is that fraud!?? And they’ve made no attempt to contact me in regards to this whatsoever. According to the SAR it was registered in September 2014 which I find very strange since I’ve had 2 jobs in financial services since then and opened up several bank accounts and credit cards. I don’t understand how an unpaid phone bill is fraud?? What can I do about this ?0 -

What does it say under Finance Details (role within case)?

The above is an example of an incorrectly filed CIFAS marker in similar circumstances. You may want to contact This Is Money if you can't get anywhere after complaining to EE. Although if it says it was registered in Sept 2014 then it will fall away in Sept this year.0 -
