I used Cheap Energy Club to switch from OLD_SUPPLIER to NEW_SUPPLIER.
The NEW_SUPPLIER has started providing Gas + Electricity from THREE weeks ago and this has been confirmed by both OLD_SUPPLIER and NEW_SUPPLIER.
OLD_SUPPLIER has mentioned that my account was in CREDIT when the switch happened and therefore they will pay me the money.
However OLD_SUPPLIER says it will be SIX weeks after the switch has happened - which means I have to wait another THREE weeks - is this long wait reasonable and is this allowed / norm in the industry?

It's not reasonable but thanks to dozy Ofgem that's the way it works. It could take eight weeks or more.

OLD_SUPPLIER will not be able to say for certain whether they owe you money or you owe them money until they have produced you a FINAL_BILL
So take everything they have told you so far with a HUGE_PINCH_OF_SALT0
