Remove a road closed sign?

I needed to get access to a house and there were 'no waiting' cones accross the entrance to the street, there was also a road closed sign on another streeet. The time was 4,30pm so I was there before most home owners, I guess they would just ignore the road closure and park their cars? What offence would I be committing if…

There were staff there tonight, so road closure was not required, as he just moved the cones.
