Remove a road closed sign?

I needed to get access to a house and there were 'no waiting' cones accross the entrance to the street, there was also a road closed sign on another streeet.
The time was 4,30pm so I was there before most home owners, I guess they would just ignore the road closure and park their cars?
What offence would I be committing if I did the same as everyone else and ignored the road closed cones?
I believe they were filming, but would have already gone home, so no danger in the being a road closed due to a sinkhole.

Watch Mr Bean and see what happens when you park where you should not.

I get this, but this has been done in 10 rows of terraced houses, not being able to pick up is not an option.
  • It's probably covered by altering safety measures re street works. New Roadvand Street Works Act 1991.

However it's not correctly coned off.

    Do you have mobility issues?

If not then I'd say the obvious answer would be to park further away and walk.

If you do, then perhaps (if possible) phone the house you were going to and ask them to walk out with it?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

So how does the person he's collecting get to his car if they've got mobility issues,

So if you need access, then you should be aware of why they are closing the roads.

    What reason did they give?

They are filming in the area. Some of our passengers have severe behavioural issues. Just before Christmas a client alighted the vehicle and went into a strangers house, trashed it, then when the driver caught up with him, he punched him. The driver ended up with two black eyes.
So when I say I need access, I havnt received the letter because I am not a resident. My passenger has not behaved in such a way, but there is a need to take precautions.

Road closed is quite succinct. It's not road closed but go on then if you're quick or road closed unless you really need to drop someone off.

speak to the council and ask specifically for the disability access officer. Commercial filming is not a good reason to prevent access. It is not a safety issue.
