OK.  So I was in the inside lane, and, this a a smart motorway, meaning that before each junction you can move into what was the hard shoulder when told to do so by the signs.  I was moving from the inside lane, to the hard shoulder.  The lorry had been in the middle lane and moved into the inside lane.  He caught my car on the drivers door, sending it into a spin.  I crashed into the central reservation.  The motorway was closed for hours.  The police attended and I have the email of one who said he will be a witness but the insurance say he wont be called as he did not take notes at the time.  I do have photo's to show the damage.  There is damage to both sides of the car - the main damage caused by the lorry, and secondary damage to the passenger side caused by the central reservation bar.

On the day I had many people stop to help but none gave me their details

Say the OP did run the case. What are the chances of the Lithuanian turning up? I’d suggest almost none. What admissible evidence would his insurers have from him?
The OP seems to be a credible witness with a perfectly reasonable account of events. There is a police officer who could be contacted. They may well have made some notes somewhere and they could produce a statement at least.
It isn’t my money but I’d be tempted to run it.
