from the Ts&Cs
The winner will be required to provide proof of identity and proof of entry into the competition at the time that the prize is collected.
I wonder if that means you need to have the actual pages showing the newspaper codes since you have to tick the newspaper you got the codes from.
If that is the case it would mean people who just use the codes posted here would not be eligible to win the car!
It could also mean just a printout of the form and acknowledgment of entry. Any thoughts?Best Comp wins in 25 years of comping. It doesnt say proof of buying the daily paper codes, just proof of entry.
I guess they want evidence the person picking the car up is YOU who entered the competition, (like an entry confirmation email) rather than knowing you pick up all the papers to get the codes. not very clear tho.You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, well, you just might find.. you get what you need.0 -

Sent Manchester Evening News a tweet re proof of entry and they state -
"I was just checking this for you. When you submit the entry form online you will receive a thank you email - keep hold of that as your proof of entry."
So hang on to the proof of entry email.Best Comp wins in 25 years of comping. Holidays to Hawaii, Toronto, Thailand twice, Dubai twice, Cyprus, Spain, Lake District, Glasgow and London. My OH gets a participating paper on line with the codes so no paper trail. I'd agree, they just want to make sure it's the winner they're giving the car too.0 -
