Yes, that would be the expectation. Same as if you had a lawyer to rep the D.
Do you have children at home? Front line worker? Anything else?
No, because the D woul dhave to turn up to a hearing. You cant make it "they dont have time at all" unless it is due to C-19 that they have no time.

    Thankyou,
We havent a lot of reasons really.  I'm the defendants representative. Obviously with C-19, we cant be in the same room for a phone hearing to take place. However, would the court simply tell me to also ring the number to connect to the hearing?
Yes I lay repped by phone today.  You and the D both contact the court and Claimant with your phone numbers and make sure the D knows to alert the court if he/she is phoned, and you are not.  That happened to me today and the Usher then phoned me and added me because the legal reps who were meant to arrange the conference, DCBLegal (ahem) must have *forgotten* to include me...
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Amazingly poor convenient memories some of these highly educated, experienced legal reps!

As the court order is to liase with the Claimant first, ive drafted an e-mail to send to Gladstones for critique if anyone has time to look.

You might include the words "unreasonable behaviour unde CPR 27.14 (2)(g)" in there.  Have you complained to your MP?
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

    Spelling error corrected: -
