not really much RM can do about that though is there?
imagine the fraud if people could just print off proof of postage!0 -
It wasn't really a rant, more of an observation that the online service is utterly pointless to any sensible ebayer

I was very confused on Monday, I saw a postie at 4pm... it was like seeing a daffodil in August.
Didn't get any post though :rotfl:My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

4pm is nothing. ive been out at 5pm before we had the later starts.
unless the RM top end managers see some sense and stop cuts and focus on the buisness you will look back on now as the good old days

ROFL,seriously.how exactly would you propose that system is implemented?
i think you need to look at the sheer number of items that travel through RM's system including items handled by other companies and transferred for deli8very
Do YOU know exactly how the system is implemented? What prevents me from using the same address label purchased online multiple times? Surely they must scan the images (which are unique) to prevent problems like this?0 -
havent a clue im afraid.thats a mail centre/BR issue
TBH given a lot of packets are hand sorted given their size i cant really think how the keep on top of it.
i'll do some investigating...............0 -
Just print out a proof of postage and take it to the post office when you hand over the mail. They will stamp and sign it. You are covered just the same as for recorded mail - I think it is £32.00.
There is no need to use recorded at all so save some money. I use recorded only when I am concerned that the person receiving might claim that it has not been delivered when it has, thus creating all the hassle of claiming the up to £32 from RM.
Incidently, it does take well over a month to get your cash back from RM whatever method you use to post it.0
