Are you able to obtain Power Of Attorney for your daughter?
This option would then allow you to open an account and operate it on her behalf, from what has been said a building society savings account seems the best route possibly even a traditional passbook account that has limited access - eg branch only.1 -

There is no point in continually applying for accounts at different banks just to be refused all the time. You really need to get your daughter to check her credit file first and see what is there1

Actually, they can - the Building Society will probably conduct a search for AML purposes (to prove identity etc) and depending on the marker it could show up then.BrownTrout said:
