How could the policy number AND the amount be wrong.
If they were BOTH wrong they would be right.0 -

Who is they, why would interest be paid on a cheque. how were you able to raise a complaint in respect of your dad's problem (do you have a POA or something), if you have the same name how do you know that the cheque he received was yours and why didn't he just give it to you rather than having it cancelled?0

He was going to deposit it to my account Today but then they said they already cancelled it in the morningwhy didn't he just give it to you rather than having it cancelled?
To raise a complaint all they needed was Policy No, Name, DOB & address. Did it for all my family
Parents took out savings policies for all of us which should have been paid out around 14 years ago. They both forgot about it so at first it was a nice surprise like "free money" then as each initial cheque arrived for each member I raised complaints about the interest rate they provided for not paying out on their scheduled date & they agreed to do the usual 8% simple instead which is what the 2nd cheque was. Now £50 on top of the 2 nice surprise cheques :beer:Mortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0

I personally wouldn't be asking the bank for anything. I would be asking my dad for compensation for giving me the same name as him. That's what caused the bother in the first place.0

Yes it has been repeatedly a problem since I became an adult. It took months to have a Virgin broadband account removed from 1 of my credit reports despite it being started when I was 1 years old.
