How much to ask in compensation? Cheque to wrong address

So it's a pretty unique situation. Me & my dad were both due cheques. I then raised complaints about the interest paid on both of them and they agreed to send cheques with the extra.
Both of us have the same name, combined with me raising both complaints at the same time means he received my cheque instead; it's now been cancelled & they'll send out a new one. They offered £50 as an apology for the mistake & delay. How much more do you think I should ask for?
Has no real impact on me other than a bit of confusion/getting my dad to check but then again they have deep pockets. Maybe ask £250?

£50 seems more than reasonable in the circumstances. Asking for £250 is frankly taking the p*ss.urs sinserly,

I think £50 is more than fair - after all, you've said yourself that it had no real impact on you. Compensation is money awarded for loss, suffering or injury. You haven't experienced any of those.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

£50 seems ample as an apology for what sounds a mistake anyone could make.
I presume you have a POA for your dad if you are asking for payments on his behalf?0 -
Work out how much money you've lost as a result of this terrible episode and ask for them for that.0

Honestly, £50 is more than generous. I'd be saying 'Thank you very much!'Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
