    Current signage
  • The new sign has been moved behind the pubs car park sign.
  • Thanks again for the advice. Two questions:

Should I appeal to popla while I wait for a response from Britannia or wait until I hear back?
What do you mean by NTK?

Use the photos in post #31 and #33 and the first and second ones from your earlier post, and make sure it's made VERY CLEAR to POPLA that the post of the prominent entrance sign position is NOT current. It is historic evidence from GoogleStreetView from when a different parking firm, LPS, were there, and now that sign does not exist and instead, Britannia have hidden their 'P' sign behind the pub sign!

Do not use your pic from post #32 in your POPLA appeal.

But do include the bad reviews in TripAdvisor as evidence to POPLA that shows, on the balance of probabilities, that the signs are not visible even in daylight to drivers, and that people are caught out here all the time. At night, there is no lighting at all, not even ambient lighting from the pub as it doesn't extend that far over into the car park (show your darkness pic).

The above is the sort of wording to add to the standard POPLA template points in post #3 of the sticky thread.

If you don't know what NTK means you need to read the 5th post of the NEWBIES thread!

  • From what I have managed to read in the newbies thread, when I get a few minutes spare at work, I understand I need to wait to be issued a “code” from Britannia before I appeal to Popla. Is that correct?

    Yes, that's correct.
  • Update: Britannia appeal rejected. Popla appeal submitted.
