Now TV (or should that be No TV?)

Hi
Wondered if anyone's had a similar problem with Now TV.
I had an existing account, and decided to buy one of their Smart Sticks (from Argos) so I could watch in another room. When I tried to activate the stick, I got to the point where the TV shows a 6 digit code which has to be entered into Now TV's website. This takes me to a screen which says it's activating the passes that came pre-loaded onto the stick, then says "oops something went wrong". The stick doesn't activate (keeps generating new codes) and the passes aren't being added to my account.
So in summary the stick is useless and I have wasted £19,99 as I can't even access the passes.
I raised a fault last Sunday via Live Chat, who were no use. They took me through a load of procedures including re-setting pretty much everything multiple times, then declared there was a temporary fault and I should try again later. That didn't work. I've made a complaint but not had a coherent reply yet. Live Chat keep saying my complaint is with the technical department so they can't do anything to help. I keep trying to activate the stick with no joy.
I'd hoped to use the passes from the stick this month, so I'd cancelled the Entertainment pass that I already had, which expired today. Now I've just had to pay £8.99 for a new pass when I've already paid for one that's 'stuck' on the [STRIKE]Smart[/STRIKE] Stupid Stick.
Argos won't take the stick back - they say they can't tell whether I've activated the passes or not...
If anyone's had a similar problem and knows how to solve it, or if you know a way to contact someone at Now TV who will actually take ownership, I'd be delighted!

You tried putting the complaint albeit a very short version on Twitter ?
You might get a better response, try @argos or @NowTV or whatever they are on Twitter.0 -
I vaguely recall that I had exact same problem, but alas I can’t remember how I resolved it. I know google was my friend though (as ever). Now TV chat helped too0

I've always found Now TV CS to be very helpful both on Chat and Phone. The last time I had to call them, they gave me 2 months free Cinema Pass for the hassle I'd experienced, too.
Otherwise, advice as above: escalate the problem.0
