Palm Pilot Phones

Hello

Ive been hankering after a palm pilot type thing for quite a while now, so i can do emails, work, and other stuff on the move. I also need a new phone and thought id get one that does both and have found this http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/show/handset/treo_650/detail/pay_monthly on orange.

What I want to know is:

Does anyone have one of these all in one things, and if so, what is your opinion? Are thay any good? or do you think it is better to get a palm pilot and a phone separatley?

Anyone know which is the 'best' model of those on the market? I want one that is relatively easy to use, not too big, and has decent memory size for MP3's. Cost, is kind of a concern, however, I can spend a reasonable amount and most of the ones I have seen are about £200, which is fine.

I need one with bluetooth so I can drive and answer calls without actually holding the phone, as well as for use in work

If anyone can give me any advice on these, or even, where the best place to buy one of them from, id be very grateful!

Thanks in advance!

The choice is treo 600 or the treo 650 which is the latest model. Orange is the only seller of these in Uk so there is no competitive pricing for these. The treo 650 just came out 7-10 ago in UK whereas it has been out 8 months in US. They are great devices and very easy if you want to actively use the data and email functions. A lot of info and hacks etc on treocentral.com forums. I have used the treo 270 and then treo 600 and find them brilliant. Havnt updated to 650 because i refuse to pay £200 to orange for the phone on top of the service plan.

    Hi,

The Link and https://www.phones2udirect.com have Treo 650 on Contract with O2 and Vodafone as well.

May be worth having a look at the PDA Phones at https://www.buymobilephones.net. The XDA IIs are sold under the name Qtek 9090 and are about £50 cheaper. The E-ten m500 http://www.buymobilephones.net/store/merchant-4-1-315-phones.ihtml is one I was looking at today, but opted for the Sony Ericsson P910i instead.

    Best regards

    Barry

    Hi,

Ps The Bluetooth on the 650 is not very reliable!

To be fair to the Treo (I had a Treo 600, it was fantastic, but I needed a bigger screen), most of the PDA Phones have wobbily Bluetooth, my O2 XDA IIs needed at least 2 patches to work with my Moto Headset.
