    An  update for you.
Much to my surprise, I had a valid claim on my travel insurance and last night I submitted the claim, with all of the supporting paperwork/evidence.
This morning I went to hospital for the OP and got the unexpected (& unwanted) news that they couldn't do the OP and that it was being put back several weeks.
I've cancelled the claim with the Insurer, because I can travel again - roll on the 14th March, Italy vs England is go........................................................ :):)

all you have to worry about now is Coronavirus psotponing the game. The Irish are already saying they don't think the Italians should come to Dublin, and just announced that it's been cancelled.
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

Eh? As of 7.45am on the 26th the game is very much still on in Dublin, there is just talk that it SHOULD be cancelled.

All I can do is keep my fingers crossed that the game goes ahead as planned :)

Contact your insurance again, this time with "and how do you deal with postponed due to Covid?"
Best of luck with the op and hope you & lad get to see some football somewhere soon!

I'll cross the coronaviruse bridge when if I come to it, (plus, it may then clash with my postponed op!)
    p.s. I'm going for the 6Nations rugby - I wouldn't cross the street to watch football >:)

Oh, Murphy, the irony!  I expect the England game will be cancelled, too.

I wouldn't worry about the rescheduled game clashing with you op. In 2001, the Wales v Ireland game was cancelled because of Foot and Mouth. It was eventually played in October.

It still sounds OK at the moment for the game going ahead https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/51666898

  • I'd be amazed if it goes ahead.
