The lowest fares are usually available for travel from Easter to the end of June, so autumn in Australia itself. As a general rule, the longer the flight the cheaper it is, Chinese airlines often have the lowest fares but often have long connections making the journey seven longer than it is already.
Most like to take a break in the Far East at Singapore or HK, although demand for the latter has fallen, meaning flights with Cathay Pacific are good value. The airline sales are on now, so best start looking if you want to travel this year, it is too early for tickets for 20210 -
I'm not sure there is a best time as far as cheap flights go.
You have time so you can check weekly on Skyscanner which my missus uses and Matrix which I use.
If you see a trend then follow it.
Two or three years ago we or rather the missus found First Class on Swiss LHR/Singapore/LHR for GBP 2500 return per person and the flight and service was excellent but haven't seen it since.
Just seen the post above and can't disagree with it although never seen it.
We'll start looking next month for an outgoing flight at the end of September and a return March 2021It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -
I've always flown Royal Brunei - Heathrow/Melbourne. Dreamliner plane, very comfortable, huge choice of menu and just about the cheapest fares of all the carriers to Aus. Then take an internal flight Melbourne to Perth.
RB don't usually come up on price comparison sites - I always book direct.0
