Congrats on the interview - fingers crossed it goes well!
You may not have been to the house this week, but at least you've ensured you own a bit more of it! Good going, considering it's all from 'extra' money!

Have you had the interview? Congrats and good luck!
Sounds like you're doing really well with the renovation, try not to be too hard on yourself.1 -
Hey Bennett
I just read your diary and love your go get em attitude! A couple of posts have made me laugh too - backside ripped out of my jeans!!! Oh the shame!!!
I'm going to follow you with interest. I'm on the DFW diary board whilst I clear a few bits of CC debt but ultimately want to remortgage and concentrate on getting it cleared. I might migrate to this page instead....
Keep going Bennett - you're doing great!!

Hello money saving friends!
I feel like I have been MIA for ages. Has it really only been a week and half since I checked in? Feels like a lot longer.
Amazing news on the job front. I got the job 🎉 I'm so pleased with myself. They said I did really well on the interview.
Not sure of a start date yet or whether I will be moved to another team in the city or stay where I am but will hopefully hear soon. I am very excited.
Because of the stress, panic, excitement and everything in between, I have done nothing in terms of money saving 😂 I just about remembered to move my £50 standard overpayment this morning but that's it. No tilly tidies, no studies, no receipt scanning, nothing.
In all fairness, I haven't really had the time to sit and do anything in prepping for the interview and cracking on with the house.
I've had Prolific logged in at work but it has been dead quite for me this week so I have £4.69 in the account but can't cash out yet. I need to earn another 90p on One Poll and then I will have finally hit the £30 cash out limit! And one more pulse on OnePulse and I should be able to cash out my $5.00 (£3.73).
I will catch up with my tilly tidies at some point this week and it can all be moved to the overpayment pot and I can be back on track.
Had our plaster pal come to the house last night. He is going to plaster the ceiling and one wall in each bedroom for us and tidy up the fireplaces. The other three walls for the bedrooms are pretty good and just need sanding in a few places and painting. He needs to get the proper quote over to us but says it'll be probably around £450/500 for him and two pals to do it in a day, which doesn't sound bad. Was expecting it to be a lot more but then I don't really know how much things cost. It probably would have been a lot more but we have saved a lot of money by boarding the ceilings ourselves. Got a couple of ceilings to board downstairs but will get round to those another time and then will probably get him to plaster those too but will be doing it in sections so we don't bankrupt ourselves 😂 He has said if I'm around when they plaster he will show me how to do it so maybe some of the smaller bits I might be able to do myself and save some money. He promised to show me when he plastered my parents house but I was at work 🙄
I'm on annual leave next week so hoping to hire a scaffold tower to get that chimney down and replace the slates ourselves and hire a floor sander. Hopefully can get all the floors sanded. Maybe even purchase our radiators and speak to a plumber about getting the boiler moved. I'm hoping to proper crack on while I'm off and make some real progress. It's really hard to fully renovate a property when you only really have a few hours after work and the weekends. Also the weather has been completely against us!
Normal service and updates will resume shortly 😂
Have a lovely day all 💕
