Renting to homeless, incentive?

Is there any such thing as a subsidy or incentive for a private landlord to take on a tenant who is homeless?
My situation is this; living in a BnB, waiting on a letter from the local homelessness organization to give me some 'referral number' which I will put on application forms for housing associations/council flat to be given priority on their waiting lists.
Which is all good, but can this state of confirmed-homelessness bare any relevance to a private landlord? If I find a suitable vacant flat, it would be nice if I could point the landlord to a grant or something that would allow them to charge me below their usual market rate.
Would be nice
Cheers

For a private sector landlord to charge you less than a market rent, they're realistically going to want somebody to be paying them the rest...
This referral number is simply a queue-jump for social housing, not some magic universal discount voucher accepted by all members of the Landlords Union...0 -
Are you being rejected by private landlords because you are homeless? If you can afford the deposit and rent thats normally enough incentive.
Some councils may provide the deposit for private rentals.0 -
Nah I got enough dough to tide me over/deposit, just ~thought it would be nice~ if some sort of grant existed, and couldn't think of anywhere else to ask on the off-chance.
Alas, there isn't.
I could get a private let I'm sure fairly quickly, but as my income is pretty low it would be sensible to go through the system and see what social housing can offer me, likely at a lower cost. Cheers for your answers0 -

Some information here - https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/private_renting/rent_deposit,_bond_and_guarantee_schemesHer courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
I am afraid a private rental LL will normally be wanting to charge as much rent as they can. Any reductions will go to you through LHA or Housing benefit, nothing for the LL unless the council decide to encourage a LL to take someone off their waiting lists by paying a premium. Some councils do do this, but they will find and make the offer to the LL if they do. More often in today's cash strapped world, if councils want to place someone in a private rental it will be in another cheaper area.0
