Back in the U.K. now, resigned last Sunday with my old job and start my new job tomorrow. I think I would prefer to be nervous about it than worried without a job currently. The pay is a better rate than my last job but the hours are basically a evening/night shift. See how it goes as it seems like a really good company to work for. Unfortunately due to tax i don’t get paid as much take home pay as I had done with overseas tax allowance breaks while working overseas. Personally I feel extremely lucky to be back in the U.K. and close to my girlfriend. Hopefully I can work on making this work and move in together at some point.
I think my next goal is a car.
points to note: PayPal credit is currently at £10601 -

2. My PayPal credit is very manageable and I will just knock £50 off it each week. also I am using another card currently as a back up in emergency’s which is also a rewards card, I am currently using it now for travel, coffees and lunch to get a idea of what I am spending each week. ( of course cut backs can happen but some times I seriously need a coffee and don’t have time to make lunch yet)
3. Yes living with family at the moment and tomorrow me and my girlfriend are going to have a good conversation on where to move into and what’s best moving forward with the lockdown and stuff. My family have been extremely supportive through all of this and I could ask for a better family.
4.things are good with my girlfriend, I feel lucky to still have her and o cherish the time I spend with her.
5.she has just been getting by at the moment as she is on a zero hour contract and furlough has saved her through this so I don’t pester her about her debt.
yea things are working out, sadly I can’t make it to my GA meetings on Thursdays so I am going to have to find another location to go so I can keep them up... they where extremely helpful in helping me make the decision to stay here in the U.K. and to take that jump. They don’t give advice but share experiences which helped.I have been looking at some of your posts Sarah and it looking like you have had a interesting time over the months, I don’t see them all but the last one I read I sore you had issues with your sofa... I hope you got that sorted and got some sort of refund.
anyways I will hopefully post soon and comment on your thread at some point.
