Sky+ Box - Preventing recording

My OH’s son is monopolising the Sky+ box. He records hours and hours of TV shows preventing us from doing so as the records either clash with our or the memory is full. Is there any way that I can prevent him from recording - perhaps by requiring a pin or similar?

Just cancel his recording schedules if they clash with yours, and delete the others.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy

No.
You could put a bigger hard drive in it so it can hold more recordings but beyond that...
Remember to make use of the On Demand/Catch-Up for the shows you want to record but couldn't. This isn't the 1980s where if you miss something it's gone forever...0 -
Does he watch the recordings or is he just being awkward.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

How old is he?
If he is over 18 does he contribute to the household expenses including Sky?
Have either you or his mother/father spoken to him about this and told him to stop recording so many programmes?
Is there something making the usual 'we are the adults and you do as we request please' relationship not viable?A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -

To answer all of these, he is 16 and autistic. He does not follow rules unless he sees the point and cannot understand the inconvenience this causes others so it cannot be dealt with using conventional 'rules' or having reasonable conversations. (Hence my search for a technical solution) He watches much of what he records.0 -

I have gone down that route. All the recordings will be back next time next time I watch TV.hide the remote?
I want to be able to record my own stuff - not prevent him from having access to the TV altogether.0 -
Does he have a TV in his room, is an additional box for him a possibility?0
