The obstruction is when you are prevented from accessing the highway from your property, not when you cannot get back on your drive.
Parking across a dropped kerb will be a Council parking issue, unless it is obstructing the flow of traffic or causing a danger to others.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Yeah sorry I misread it.0 -

Looking for some advice please.
There's someone who has recently taken to blocking my driveway on purpose.
The first time they did it (they are working on a property across the street), I called and got them a parking ticket. Since then, they have been purposefully blocking my driveway everyday. They have even called the local authority to come and give me a ticket when I parked across my driveway!!! They got my neighbour a ticket (he parks across his own driveway) and then told my neighbour that it was me that got them the ticket!! Today, they had a friend of theirs sit in the car to block my driveway when they were unable to!!
I have called the police and the police spoke with this person, but it doesn't seem to have had any effect.
Just to clarify, they are parking on the street blocking my dropped driveway.
If you need any further info, I'm happy to answer questions. It's been going on for over a week now!
Thanks in advance!
I don't think it's been asked but looking at your posts on here you seem to have been aware that it was the builder that was blocking your or your MiL's driveway? And yet you went straight for escalation? Oh dear...0 -

I blame the householder having the work done. He should have told the builder not to park there as the OP would get him a ticket."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

set fire to the builder's house - it's the only appropriate response.0

And the person whose vehicle you'd clamped could then call the police, and you could be arrested if you refused to remove the clamp.
Clamping (of other vehicles) by companies and individuals has been illegal since October 1st 2012.0 -
As a 60+ disabled woman, the thing about this tread that upsets me the most is the suggestion that the MIL is a frail old lady! It's not difficult!

It would appear that this policy has backfired on you. Based on what you have said thus far, you appear to be the instigator of the situation.carproblems wrote: »I don't understand, when you get a speeding ticket, do you speed past the camera again to get your own back?! If you get a ticket for not paying for parking, do you go back to the same spot and do it again to get the traffic warden back?
This person has absolutely no right to park there. There's nothing they could use in their defence to say why they were blocking in a car. This guy is in the wrong, I'm well within my rights to access my driveway and have a ticket issued for someone blocking it. I'm being made to feel like I was wrong with what I did.
Well, if you really need it explaining - he is reacting to what he sees as your provocative behaviour.0
