Selected Film4 films are now being regularly added to All4 for streaming without charge.
Individual titles are available for between 7 and 31 days and vary from classic Film4 titles to a small number of recent titles.
This week's films include: The Girl on the Train, Alien: Covenant and Slumdog Millionaire.
Although there is no "Film4" channel on the Catch-up tab, there is a Film entry under categories.

All of these films have been recently shown on either the Film4 Channel and or CH4.
All just as "free" (adverts withstanding).0 -

Yes, but weren't previously available for streaming... to us streamers.
They are also now available to people without TV Licences.0 -
Films added this week:-
Dead Man's Shoes (is an excellent film). 13 days left.
The Hatton Garden Job. 27 days left.
Films have traditionally been somewhat problematic for catch-up viewers - films broadcast FTA have often been omitted from catch-up (presumably due to rights issues). It's good to see C4 making an effort, and it compares well to ITV Hub and My5.0 -

Yes, previously you'd struggle to find a single film on any of the original terrestrial channels catch-up services and it was very much a licensing issue. I don't know what exactly changed as I don't work for any of them now but all but the ITV Hub & the STV Player have decent amounts of films (if not quality, eye of the beholder and all that). The STV Player don't seem to have any although it's difficult to tell as their website is appallingly outdated and doesn't include 'Films' as a category. The ITV Hub excluding a couple or so films comprises entirely of all of the Carry On films perhaps minus one or two. I suppose somebody likes to watch them again.

In 1995, the Rank Group acquired all the outstanding shares of the Rank Organisation. In spring 1997, Rank sold Rank Film Distributors, including its library of 749 films, to Carlton Television for £65 million.
Since then Granada and Carlton merged to form ITV plc and because of the former purchase, it is now part of ITV, or at least the Rank films are (from Carry On Don't Lose Your Head onwards). The earlier ones are owned by somebody else.0 -

I didn't know ITV own some of them, Carry on Camping is in there which was the first ever Carry on film from memory and I think the Julian Clarey one (the last one and happily never watched) is missing.0 -
I thought "Sergeant" was the first Carry On?
"Camping" is some way through the series, but from the info so far it looks as though I've got a long wait for my favourite ("Screaming") to come along.0 -

Yes, you're right. I did say it was from memory and obviously mines not very good
Camping is half way through.
Edit: in fact there's a lot of films I'd forgotten about (possibly for good reason in some cases). They actually go back to before even I was born.0 -
The Carry Ons really are a very mixed bag. Some of the really crass ones are only watchable now as a kind of social documentary (ditto "Confessions of..." and "On the Buses"). I still stand by "Screaming" and one or two others, though.
Back to C4, and Assassin's Creed will be available on catch-up for the next 7 days.0
