The tyre and chipped windscreen could have being caused driving it back to their place. Where on the windscreen is the chip and the tyre could be a simple puncture that costs a few pounds to repair. Ask them to produce evidence of the windscreen and tyre before the repair was carried out. Sometime it's a con to get money out of the customer.
A copy of the receipt for the windscreen and receipt for the tyre Most places give an A4 sheet with the reg number of the vehicle as well as date of the repairSomeone please tell me what money is0 -
Believe it or not, I’ve hired with Green Motion 3 times, the 1st time I returned the car he noticed a scuffed alloy, I thought I haven’t done that, he went to the office & checked, that damage was already there so no charge sir!
The last time I hired, I noticed a scratch in the middle of the rear door which definitely wasn’t there before & they noticed it when returning the car. They said they would call me the next day about it as the manager was out. Never had a call & they never charged my card.
I always make sure I have the excess cover, but I’ve never claimed yet.0 -

Green Motion have lots of bad reviews (I know as I was charged for fake damage). I claimed on my insurance and contacted my credit card company. Think there was a documentary exposing them as one of the worst car rental companies for charging for damage.0

Would someone who has excess insurance care to ring their insurer and enquire, entirely hypothetically, what is the correct procedure when the car hirer is charging for damage and the insured believes that they have not caused the damage.
The answer might be of general interest.0
