Billing problem

Options
Good night.

Does anyone know how to help me resolve a problem with my new electric company?

They have not given me a statement after 3 months. I made the complaint and they have told me information provided to them by the industry was wrong.

So then I called South Wales Western Power Distribution on 0845 601 5972 and they told me there is nothing on the databse that is wrong. They knew my supply number and address and meter number.

I have wrote back to supplier asking what is wrong actually.

I want to claim compensation as well. Any information you have would help me a lot.

Some companies don't give monthly statements.

Why comp? What have you financially lost ?

Who is your supplier ? What tariff ?

Do you keep your own records - read your meter - use a simple spreadsheet ?

You should have called 105 which is a free call.

The 0845 601 number costs up to 70p per minute. wow.gif

1974Marie - these were straightforward questions from me and some MSE advice from Gerry1.

  • These question were not relevant to my question.

Your friend giving out a telephone number was not relevant either.

What do the T's & C's say on your tariff about billing frequency - Can be monthly, quarterly and all sorts in between.

Have you given meter readings, and how often, without these the supplier cannot produce an accurate bill.

With that said, suppliers can, and often do screw up registering new accounts - For your own sake keep a weekly record of the meter reads

The free 105 number is certainly relevant to other forumites who might otherwise have dialled the expensive number you quoted and faced a hefty bill or had all their PAYG credit wiped out in a single call.

If you ask for help and then slag off those who take the trouble to respond, you may find that there won't be a stampede to help you next time. rolleyes.gif
  • the elecric company manage to give bills every month to everyone.

Not me though. You don't come on here and post a telephone number okay.

It is possible to ask a question and then get a reply.
